I was given the opportunity to watch a training session with Widu and I am thrilled to see what the little guy can do already. Widu is supposed to be a hunting dog when he has grown up and therefore has to learn, for example, to immediately get back to staying calm and relaxed. This is trained with staying on a so-called place board, which I think is a great idea.
Widu is already learning to work on the track and retrieve game. He always (and rightly so) receives high praise from his trainer, who emphasizes that Widu is a very happy and fast-learning dog.
I am very proud that Widu shows the hunting properties of the barbet so well and that we can help to ensure that the barbet is used as a hunting dog again.
